Patented Cable-Tuned™ System
Our
patented cable-tuned system allows a floor to be set up without mechanically
fastening to an existing subsurface. 100% of your investment can be
taken to your next studio or dance performance with minimal effort and
time. It's a completely mobile flooring system. It also allows for minor
adjustments as necessary to keep seams tight. The floor can be adjusted
by the row and column to provide slight but noticeable variations in
tone when used for tap dancing. This system attaches to the outside
edge of the floor with a clamp that fits into a routered space. The
clamp is hidden inside the floor, unnoticeable to the dancer. Cables
run the length of the floor underneath. This is the newest and BEST
technology in the dance flooring industry.
Easy
to Install Dance Floor
An O'MARA SPRUNG FLOOR arrives custom-sized to your studio. Anyone can
install an O'MARA SPRUNG FLOOR with our patented Cable Tuned™ System.
No carpentry skills are needed. The floor panels interlock with a continuous
tongue and groove system. Just lay out the cables, connect, clamp and
tighten...it's that simple! This installation system offers ease, simplicity,
and fine tuning. No screws or staples to back out. A 1600 square foot
floor can be installed in one day!
Foam Blocks are placed one
every square foot. These provide an evenly resilient floor. The foam
blocks are attached to the underside of your floor. The layout and thickness
have been adjusted to provide the shock absorption and resilience dancers
need. As a result, they help protect against impact injuries caused
by hard unyielding floors.
Floor
Height is 1 1/2" from the base
of the foam blocks to the top surface. The foam blocks are 3/4" thick.
Our solid core hardwood veneer panels are also 3/4" thick.
Hardwood
Veneer Panels have been carefully selected to provide
dimensional stability. Each piece is sealed on the top, bottom, and
all sides to prevent moisture damage to plywood. This also improves
it's warp resistance and size stability, resulting in a beautiful and
durable dance floor. Please note there are sometimes coloration differences
between panels, as wood is a natural product and has variations in color.
Tongue
and Groove Seams are precision machined. The grooves
are engineered for exacting tolerances, providing almost unnoticeable
seams. The tongues are close tolerance hardwood dowels, which act as
an excellent wear surface.
